Major/Essential Functions
- Provides patient care in consultation-liaison, outpatient, and/or inpatient psychiatric care services
- Supervises residents, medical students, and fellows
- Participates in the teaching program for fellows, residents, and medical students
- Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
- Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
- Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations; adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
- Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Statement of Faculty Responsibility

Preferred Qualifications
- Board certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Evidence of success in peer-reviewed publications
- Emerging regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher

Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O degree
- Successful completion of ACGME- accredited residency program in psychiatry
- Successful completion of ACGME-accredited fellowship program in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Texas medical licensure, or eligibility for medical licensure in Texas
