Major/Essential Functions
  • Provides patient care and diagnosis in Pediatric Endocrinology to newborns, children and adolescents
  • Determines nature and extend of disease or injury
  • Prescribes and administers medication
  • Ensure compliance with HIPPA and billing regulations
  • Participates in research and scholarly activities within the Department of Pediatrics
  • Demonstrate Professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster school of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility
  • Participates in the education of medical students and residents of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Paul L. Foster School of Medicine

Required Qualifications
  • M.D./D.O. degree or foreign medical equivalent degree
  • Successful completion of ACGME-accredited Pediatrics Residency Program and Pediatric Endocrinology Subspecialty Residency (Fellowship) Program
  • Posses or eligible to obtain a Texas State Medical License
  • Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) in General Pediatrics and either certified or eligible for certification by the ABP in Pediatric Endocrinology
