Major/Essential Functions
  • Provides consultations and clinical services in outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Supervises residents and medical students in clinical setting
  • Participates in education of residents and medical students
  • Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
  • Serves the academic community through participations in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
  • Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and demonstrated interest in teaching students and residents
  • Board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Regional or emerging national reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher

Required Qualifications
  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program for Psychiatry
  • Licensed or eligible for an unrestricted medical License in the State of Texas
