Position Description
Analyzes and coordinates office services such as personnel, budget preparation and control, fiscal affairs, equipment utilization, records control, and special management studies.

Major/Essential Functions
Analyze, monitor, evaluate and oversee the student application process for all GGHSON programs. Address student application questions, concerns. Troubleshoots and resolves student application process issues. Communicates effectively and expeditiously with applicants.

Provides direct specialized support Office of Student Affairs (OSA) Assistant Dean and Unit Manager. This includes but is not limited to specialized data analysis and special reports as requested by SON and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (TTUHSC EP) Office of Student Services administration. Provides as needed support to SON staff, faculty, Dean and Administrators.

Processes all student services financial records, i.e. purchase orders, direct pay transactions, food and entertainment, budget transfers, and event approval forms, as well as other types of student service forms. Attend trainings offered by the institution in order to remain current on changes and/or implementations. Responsible to track and trend expenses and ensure timely payment allocations.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred.  Five years prior experience working in an office environment preferably in an educational or medical setting.

Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.

Job Group

Occasional Duties
Assists in planning, coordination and execution of student involved functions and events that include but are no limited to student information sessions, new student orientation, pre-clinical clearances, commencement and pinning ceremonies.

Serve as backup for Unit Manager of the SON Office of Student Affairs in the absence of the OSA Unit Manager .

Assist with all student functions and all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in job related field plus two (2) years responsible related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal six (6) years.
