Major/Essential Functions
- Provides inpatient and outpatient adult neurology clinical services in the assigned neurology outpatient clinic and provides consultation services in the affiliated hospitals
- Provides direct patient care and consultative service to other medical professionals
- Assists with Epilepsy Clinic and conducting other neurological patient care services, to include diagnostic readings such as EEGs/EMGs according to subspecialty expertise
- Supervises resident clinics and participates in the overall teaching program for the teaching and training of residents and medical students, to include the presentation of lectures
- Performs academic research and scholarly activities in the Department of Neurology
- Participates in committees and other administrative duties as assigned by the Department Chair
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations and adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
- Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
- Fellowship training in Neurophysiology, Neuromuscular Diseases, Epilepsy, Movement Disorder or Multiple Sclerosis from an accredited program in the United States
- Regional or emerging national recognition in the area of specialty for associate professor or higher level

Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency Program
- Board Certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Texas Medical License or be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
