Major/Essential Functions
  • Provides patient care and diagnosis in Pediatric Nephrology to newborns, children and adolescents
  • Determines nature and extend of disease or injury
  • Prescribes and administers medication
  • Supervises mid-level providers in the clinical setting
  • Ensure compliance with HIPPA and billing regulations
  • Participate in research and scholarly activities in the Department of Pediatrics
  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the PLFSOM Declaration of Faculty Professionalism Responsibilities
  • Participate in the education of medical students and residents of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Paul L. Foster School of Medicine

Required Qualifications
  • M.D. / D.O. degree or foreign medical equivalent degree
  • Successful completion of ACGME-accredited Pediatrics Residency Program
  • Successful completion of ACGME-accredited Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship Program
  • Eligible to obtain a Texas State Medical License
  • Board Certified in Pediatric Nephrology by the American Board of Pediatrics
