Major/Essential Functions
  • Provides patient care in the areas of the hospital and outpatient settings
  • Instructs and supervises medical students and surgery residents
  • Conducts clinical research and/or produces scholarship related to surgery
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Statement of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certification in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery

Required Qualifications
  • M.D/D.O.
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency training in general surgery
  • Successful completion of Society of Surgical Oncology approved breast surgery fellowship or breast surgical oncology fellowship
  • Texas Medical License of eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
