Major/Essential Functions
- Provides patient care in consultation-liaison, outpatient and/or inpatient psychiatric care services
- Supervises resident, medical students and fellows
- Participates in the teaching program for fellows, residents and medical students
- Participates in research and scholarly activities
- Participates in committees and other administrative duties as assigned
- Ensures compliance with HIP AA and billing regulations; adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
- Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Statement of Faculty Responsibility

Preferred Qualifications
- Board certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology+Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Demonstrated track record in research and peer-reviewed publications for the rank of associate professor or higher
- Regional or emerging national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher

- M.D./D.O.
- Successful completion of ACGME- accredited residency program in psychiatry
- Successful completion of ACGME- accredited fellowship program in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Licensure or eligibility for medical licensure in Texas
