Major/Essential Functions
Responsible for the provision and oversight of business intelligence to the organization.  Manage day-to-day institutional research tasks to formulate mathematical or simulation models related to Institutional Research within a large organization.   Software  knowledge in Visual Studios (SQL server data tools), Adobe; In-Design, Photoshop, SQL : Developer, ORACLE, Microsoft (SQL management studio, Tableau, R Project for statistical computing.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems or related. 2 years’ with reporting requirements in a healthcare-related or education setting. Data Integration, architecture, database integrity, database management, business intelligence, data warehousing, and data modeling.  Proficiency in SQL server or ORACLE environment, and data visualization software.

Occasional Duties
Manages institution-wide processes involving the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data, in order to meet institutional research and reporting requirements set forth by state and federal entities, which regulate delivery and funding of higher education programs.  Manages technical and programming staff within the office's area of Institutional Research.  Manages day-to-day institutional research tasks, using software to formulate mathematical or simulation models of problems; manages programming projects related to regular IR activities and special IR projects.  Responsible for regular reporting on behalf of the institution to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (CBM) and the Department of Education (IPEDS).  Responsible for the provision and oversight of Business Intelligence to the organization that will assist tactical and strategic decision making, through integrated data warehousing of organizational data.  Responsible for the application of Business Intelligence and analysis software to perform
data extraction, analysis and validation of data contained within the organization's information systems (i.e. Banner).  Performs regular validation and testing of models/applications to ensure adequacy and reformulates models /applications as  necessary,  Produces presentations of institutional data for regular dissemination and publication, and as requested by executive leadership to support presentations and inform strategic planning and decision-making.  Responsible for reviewing data extracted from Banner information system and other institutional databases; verifies accuracy of data files before they are made available for internal, public or government use and publication.  Responsible for the centralization and maintenance of institutional data and actively works with representatives across TTUHSCEP units to ensure integrity and reliability of institutional data.  Manages task forces and committees, as related to Institutional Research. Responsible for the maintenance of accreditation management system Xitracs; manages institution-wide training and technical support efforts; serves as institutional representative to ConcordUSA.  Performs other related functions as assigned.   Travels to conferences for training and professional development up to 2 times per

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field required plus six years administrative or management experience. Additional education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
