Major/Essential Functions
  • Responsible for the overall redesign of the Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing (GGHSON) undergraduate curriculum conversion to a competency based format
    • Develop and identify general nursing competencies
    • Organize competencies into specific themes
    • Establish criteria for performance
    • Create learning experiences
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum
  • Participates in the ongoing process of developing, revising, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum, thereby promoting consistency, continuity and congruence in the undergraduate programs of study
  • Work collaboratively with the chairperson and members of the curriculum and evaluation committee
  • Meets and informs the GGHSON standing committees and other institutional committees and/or departments as requested
  • Participate in the GGHSON Undergraduate Advisory Committee
  • Provide pertinent accreditation standard information for CCNE and/or other specialized accrediting agencies
  • Work remotely using web-enabled technology
  • Option for travel to meet face-to-face with nursing faculty

  • Ph.D. in Nursing or related degree
  • Five years or more of experience in competency-based curriculum development

Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.

  • Doctorally prepared nurse
  • Qualifications for faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Higher
  • Documented success in leading a curriculum conversion to competency-based format
  • Record of accomplishment mentoring faculty
