Major/Essential Functions
  • Provides clinical services and teaching of diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology. 
  • Interprets x-rays in all modalities of diagnostic radiology. 
  • Mentors and instructs residents, fellows, and medical students in research projects as requested or assigned by department chair. 
  • Lectures and hold conferences and participate in related meetings and school functions. 
  • Initiates or participates in scholarly activities of the Department of Radiology. 
  • Participates in committees and other administrative duties, as assigned by the Chair. 
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures. 
  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibilities. 
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. 
  • Board certification in Neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology. 
  • Regional or emerging national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher.

Required Qualifications
  • M.D. or D.O. Degree. 
  • Texas Medical Licensure, or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas. 
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in diagnostic radiology. 
  • Successful completion of one year of training in a neuroradiology fellowship program., or meeting all requirements for the American Board of Radiology's Alternate Pathway to Sub-specialty Certification in neuroradiology. 
  • Training and experience in all imaging modalities including plain film, CT, US, and MRI.
