Position Description
Performs specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of assigned area. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to area, making recommendations and assisting in implementation of projects. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgement in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Reconcile State and federal funds to provide a recap to clinical departments on available funds
  • Able to interpret federal, state and local regulatory documentation and legal contracts
  • Assist SOM team with assigned tasks and projects as assigned
  • Manipulates large amounts of data to create financial/adhoc reporting models that help in assessing financial status, costing, margins, budgeting and forecasting
  • Act as Fund Manager for Shared services departments assigned
  • Work with Sr. Director and Chief Analyst in monitoring employee one-time payments and WRVU incentive schedules and reporting daily, quarterly and annually for timely processing
  • Assist Sr. Director in providing direction to clinical department management and staff in processing contract billing
  • Performs annual budget preparation

Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Computer Science, Information Technology, or Medical
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • (3) or more demonstrable years of data analysis to include: ability to collect data, utilize data gathering tools, ability to prioritize and effectively handle multiple tasks
  • Possess strong computer skills with strong working knowledge of Excel, Access, SQL and database programming.
  • Master's degree a strong plus. (3) or more years of data analysis work experience in a medical/clinical environment
  • Understanding of healthcare bioinformatic trends and working knowledge of HEDIS measures
  • Ability to read and understand complex medical contracts. Working knowledge of at least one industry standard EHR (Electronic Health Records) system and a financial ERP system. Experience in financial analysis, budget, internal audit, and procurement.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures, organize tasks and set priorities
  • At least (3) years experience in supervision
