Position Description
A Clinic Office Manager is responsible for all day-to-day clinical operations for a group of health care professionals. Plans and oversees all fiscal/administrative support, human resources management, and office services for a clinical practice. Performs tasks which require advanced skills in organization, planning, interpersonal relations, in-depth knowledge of clinic operations and overall understanding of other departments. This position interacts and works closely with the departmental chairs. Directly supervises 8-15 employees in the assigned clinical department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Major/Essential Functions
- Assists administrator in day-to-day operations of clinics. Responsible for the proper scheduling of patients and for the proper maintenance of master clinic schedules for faculty & future residents to include inpatient & outpatient
- Accounts for statistical patient counts, i.e. no shows, cancelations, unique type, patient slots and patient surveys. Analyzes and complies statistical information for the administration to view.
- Responsible for supervision of clinical staff at all sites, Patient Services Specialist/NA, Responsible for performance reviews, progressive discipline, and clinical competencies reviews policies and procedures
- Responsible for addressing patient and provider complaints. Maintains and types discharge paperwork for patients that are non-compliant in outpatient clinic as per physician request and legal counsel guidance

- Other related duties as requested by Department Faculty and Department Administrators
- Implements & adopts clinical required projects at various sites related to Joint Commission, Clinic operations/Infection Prevention/Performance Improvement Committee, and Nursing meeting for the Department of Neurology. Employee will be responsible to update the department protocol & policy manual related to operations projects.
- Employee will have the responsibility of Safety Officer for the Department of Neurology to assist patients with all safety incidents in the clinic sites. Employee will implement and orient staff and faculty on safety
