Position Description
Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Manages and facilitates the Continuing Education component in the coordination of events and programs related to the department's mission on behalf of the campus; duties include: procuring disclosure form, CV, biosketch, pre and post-test questions, conflict of interest, and presentation from speaker thereof
  • Maintains Diversity and Global Health Student Lounge
  • Serves as Initial point of contact for the Diversity and Inclusion division of the office by answering incoming calls on multi-line telephone, communicating messages, providing answers to inquiries relevant to the department as needed
  • Provides general clerical assistance such as filing, creating and managing correspondence templates, compiling diversity related facts/statistics used for cultural events, and managing inventory in the diversity food pantry for the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Global Health
  • Assists as needed with departmental functions, student activities, and support staff activities
  • Maintains the diversity portion of the calendar
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned by immediate supervisor

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with continuing education events
  • Previous experience with coordinating multiple activities and/or projects
  • Prior experience in data entry and development of marketing design
  • Experience in healthcare or university setting
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Suite Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and other graphic design software applications

Pay Statement

Occasional Duties
  • Coordinate and assists with facilitation of all diversity meetings/programs related to the department on behalf of campus; preparation/distribution of agendas, minutes, logistic setup; catering, audio visual and notifications, schedules speakers and related travel and payments thereof
  • Handles the distribution of incoming correspondence, packages, deliveries on behalf of department
  • Assists in identifying Diversity and Global Health topics and programs for regularly scheduled events
  • Assists in the creation and development of all office material (e.g. brochures, events, flyers, etc.) and introduction/speaker points for events

Required Qualifications
  • High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience
  • Additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis
