Position Description
Coordinates and supports the daily operations of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (TTUHSC EP GSBS). Responsibilities involve the assistance of the various functions and aspects relating to the TTUHSC EP GSBS. Work is performed under extensive supervision with evaluations and feedback provided based on results obtained.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Manages and re-directs incoming emails, calls, and mail on behalf of the GSBS.
  • Assists with support activities such as, but not limited to, work orders, room reservations, audiovisual setup, and office maintenance.
  • Maintains, orders, and stocks office supplies and consumables. Responsible for keeping track of the inventory.
  • Assist the GSBS with tasks and paperwork as part of larger projects.
  • Assist faculty with activities such as, but not limited to; maintaining up-to-date syllabus, managing lecture reminders, making the lecture material available to students, proctoring exams, tracking attendance, managing coursework deadlines and assignments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working at a higher education institution preferred. Experience managing sensitive information is required. Knowledgeable of HIPAA and FERPA regulations is preferred.

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.

Required Qualifications
High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.
