Position Description
Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Major/Essential Functions
1. Initiate, develop, direct and manage activities appropriate to the successful pursuit of campus foundation and corporate grants, with a financial goal to maintain a $1,000,000 yearly revenue stream with a 3% - 5% increase every year.
2. Identifies and cultivates potential corporate and corporate foundational partnerships, including sponsorships, branding, philanthropic giving and research funding. Researches, approaches and builds corporate and corporate foundational relationships through electronic as well as in-person interaction. 3. Manage and direct relevant portions of project management and other databases, as well as interactions with TTUHSC EP and TTU system centralized personnel, with regard to all corporate and foundational activities to monitor, track, assign related tasks to increase grant and partnerships submissions and approaches.
4. Supervises the CFR personnel including the senior writer and coordinator. Performs other special projects as assigned.
5. Monitors research funding, advised and reports issues as necessary, prepares project reports for research and development.
6. Identifies public and private grant opportunities, researches grant programs and plans, generating proposals and supporting documentation in response in collaboration with the Managing Director of Development.
7. Works with Principal Investigators to develop grant submissions for new, continuing and competing applications to include grant proposal preparation, study budget forecasting, completion of required forms, as well as other administrative aspects of the proposal process. Works with VP of Research to coordinate research submissions. Ensures proposal compliance with institution and funding agency policies and procedures.
8. Employee must be able to facilitate all components of a grant project from submission to management phase in accordance to regulations of the proposal.
9. Manages and reviews project status, revenues, and expenditures to ensure compliance with grant funding regulations.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required preferably in the fields of study to include English, Journalism and Communications or related
field. Beyond five years experience in proposal/technical writing and editing skills. Experience working with databases
and project management platforms.
