Position Description
Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Directs day-to-day operations for the GSBS in conjunction with Student Affairs, Student Business Services, Admissions, and Student Services Manager and performs duties as needed and requested by the GSBS Dean.
  • Guides and directs subordinates, including setting performance standards, coaching, and helping staff improve their knowledge and skills. 
  • Oversee course management, class scheduling, audiovisual and classroom support. Oversees processing and maintenance of student files, degree plans, student records and database information on all GSBS students.
  • Develops policies, goals, strategies, and actions to implement/achieve these items. Provides guidance and informed advice to develop new academic programs.
  • Organize, plans, and prioritizes goals and activities developed by committees appointed by the Dean. Provides advice and information to faculty members on GSBS polices.
  • Schedules events, programs, and activities on behalf of the GSBS. Designs presentations, brochures, agendas,and communications on behalf of the GSBS.
  • Gathers and analyses data to determine whether processes ensure institutional data integrity consistency and accuracy. Plans and implements systematic planning and evaluation efforts to meet public, governmental, and customer requirements.
  • Provides direction on entering, transcribing, recording, storing, and maintaining student information and student records.
  • Reviews and implements record management processes for GSBS faculty files, memberships and database information.
  • Uses computer systems to manage GSBS website to market new academic programs, publish and maintain student handbook, catalog, and faculty bylaws.
  • Responsible for the Banner student system regarding course-building, curriculum requirements, and Student data entry admission and graduation purposes. Guides the processing of all student applications for all the GSBS programs
  • Plans, monitors, and controls the annual budget for every fiscal year. Prepares financial reports according to organizational policy.
  • Directs the coordination and assembly of student packets for orientations, incoming student packets, promotional brochures, commencement and other ceremonies/events.
  • Directs and conducts personnel hiring process. Plans the hiring process of student interns. Ensures the registration and enrollment process for the new and current students in collaboration with the Registrar's office.
  • Organizes and develops the safety management plan to assure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
