Major/Essential Functions
- Work with research investigators to develop project educational materials, study protocols and procedures
- Effectively use resources to manage and implement primary data collection, develop study related databases, assist with statistical analysis
- Prepares human subject applications and collects study related documents to ensure project compliance with institutional and grant regulations
- Maintain communication with project director ensure all program goals and objectives (target numbers) are met
- Responsible for writing and editing of manuscripts/posters/abstracts to include organizing and preparation of tables and figures with statistical results for investigators
- Assess staffing needs for projects
- Manages the implementation of assigned research projects, ensuring staff are compliant with all protocols and regulatory requirements
- Ensures all staff under supervision are achieving the assigned goals in a timely manner and with accuracy

Occasional Duties
- Assist with preparation of grant (writing and editing) and their submission
- Coordinates progress reporting for sponsor agency. Work with various oversight departments in submitting all related documents for regulatory purposes
- Provides expertise, support and assistance to research personnel on all projects in the division as needed in development, implementation or assessment processes
- Manages primary data collection in person or through close supervision of research personnel; checks integrity and accuracy of the data
- Responsible for developing, managing and checking the accuracy of databases maintained by the division
- Assists Director with managing learners who are assigned to the research program

Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (Ph. D.) or specialized academic training beyond the Bachelor's level in a particular field of science or engineering equivalent to a Doctoral degree
- Two years research experience; knowledge of modern research practices, the methods, resources and standards thereof
