Position Description
Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Provides Administration, Departments and non-U.S. Citizens with professional expertise and guidance on visa options for non-U.S. citizens appointed, invited, or visiting the institution
  • Interfaces with U.S. Department of Homeland Security (Immigration) Department, U.S. Department of Labor; U.S. Department of State and other designated authorities in processing documents for non-U.S citizens
  • Provides assistance to all callers and filters calls to the appropriate level of assistance
  • Assists with processing of immigrant & non-immigrant visas or petitions

Occasional Duties
  • Must meet all deadlines of all other duties assigned within allotted time frame depending on project
  • Conducts individual and group orientations and educational sessions regarding visa sponsorship and/or cross cultural activities
  • Reviews immigration documents and passports on all non-U.S. citizens in order to determine eligibility to begin and/or continue appointment with institution
  • Must travel within the city for Labor and Conditions Applications (LCA) compliance

Required Qualifications
