* Provides patient care to newborns, children, and adolescents in hospital setting
* Supervises medical students, residents, and advanced practice professionals in the hospital
setting
* Participates in the education of medical students and residents
* Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and scholarship
* Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance such as
committee work Contributes to the community through academically-related public
service complimentary to the institutional mission
* Ensures compliance with HIPPAA and billing regulations
* Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's
Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility
* Participates in committees and other administrative duties within the department and the
school of medicine

Preferred Qualifications
* Board certification in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics or the American
Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics
* Progressive experience in management and leadership in an academic health center
* Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program
* Bilingual (English and Spanish)
* Emerging regional or national professional reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher
* Experience in teaching students and residents in pediatric hospital medicine
