Major/Essential Functions
  • Administers neuropsychological testing including, but not limited to, WAIS, WAIC, Trails A & B, WCST, clinical dementia rating, and projective testing, scoring, and evaluation for adult or pediatric psychiatric conditions
  • Provides direct patient care by diagnosing and treating the full spectrum of behavioral health conditions within a multidisciplinary setting
  • Participates in teaching and training of psychology interns, psychology post-doctoral trainees, residents, fellow, and medical students, including the presentation of lectures
  • Participates in academic research and scholarly activities in the Department of Psychiatry
  • Participates in committees and other administrative duties as assigned
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paull L. Foster School of Medicine’s declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Post doctoral training especially in child and adolescent psychology
  • Experience with integration of current technologies in the delivery of care, including Al, software applications and social media
  • Emerging or established regional or national professional reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher

Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology that is accredited by the American Psychology Association
  • Successful completion of an internship accredited by the American Psychological Association in psychology
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a psychologist by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
