Position Description

Major/Essential Functions
  • The main focus of the position will be to investigate signaling molecules involved in leukemia cell survival and drug resistance. The candidate will perform assays relevant to the study of signal transduction using cell culture and molecular biology approaches to identify the novel targets for improved cancer therapy. 
  • Performs lab work independently and is responsible for developing new procedures and techniques to be utilized in the lab and in experiments. 
  • Collects data and maintains records related to corresponding laboratory. 
  • Will assist with the preparation of figures and text for grant proposals and manuscripts for submission. 
  • Other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the research laboratory and to facilitate the conduct of approved research studied.

Preferred Qualifications
The international visiting scholar must currently be attending an accredited PhD graduate program. 
Must have knowledge of related regulatory policies and procedures relevant to the field of research study of biomedical sciences.
