Position Description
Performs specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of assigned area. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to area, making recommendations and assisting in implementation of projects. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Serve as the SBS accounting subject matter expert.
  • Perform fee assessment audits.
  • Process AP manual check and wire requests.
  • Review Student AR in advance of month end close.
  • Ensure journal entries are thoroughly documented.
  • Process JV for exemption and waivers.
  • Calculate statutory tuition to be submitted to the Comptroller's Office.
  • Secondary review of add/drop tuition and fee adjustments
  • Approve F docs.
  • Review cost per class calculations.
  • Analyze and submit necessary JV's to transfer TPEG set-asides from statutory tuition to TPEG grant funds and/or emergency tuition loan funds.
  • Analyze the designated tuition set-aside each term and prepare the necessary JV to reclassify the set-aside to the appropriate scholarship fund.
  • Reconcile net tuition and fee revenue.
  • Reconcile all assigned balance sheet accounts.
  • Audit all exemption and waivers.
  • Audit discretionary incidental fees.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end AFR adjusting and accrual entries.
  • Prepare year-end tuition and fee variance analysis.
  • Process the annual release of deferred revenue.
  • Assist in the preparation of all year-end reporting.
  • Participate in all internal and external audits.
  • Other duties as assigned for the efficient operations of the department as determined by the Director of Student Business Services.

Preferred Qualifications
Higher education experience specific to the bursar's office or tuition and fee billing. Experienced in working with accounts receivable. Experienced in working with a multi module ERP and accounts receivable sub-ledger which interfaces with the general ledger. Banner Student, Banner AR, Banner Finance and Cognos experience.
