Position Description
Performs specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of assigned area. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to area, making recommendations and assisting in implementation of projects. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Major/Essential Functions
Daily data entry and monitoring of co-curricular activities including student government, organizations and interest groups, and wellness/academic success initiatives. Assist in implementation and ongoing support with Campus Labs, ACEware, Ellucian products, and other technology solutions as needed. Provide assistance in the supervision and in the planning and development of all student organizations and functions/events, (i.e. Fall event, holiday luncheon, residency fair, health fairs, 5k event, golf tournament, etc.).  Maintains current student files, program files, and overall computerized system to ensure complete functionality for Student Affairs and Wellness. Monitors and promotes the Fitness Center and plans for activities that meet students’ needs. Makes recommendations related to Student Services and Student Union fees. Reviews and maintains Procurement Card for institutional Student Affairs and ensures reports are submitted timely and accurately to Business Affairs. Provides assistance in tracking and trending expenses for institutional Student Affairs. Ensure payments are allocated appropriately and timely. This includes daily student organization deposits with Business Affairs for student accounts as well as vending machine deposits for Vending machine accounts. Processes all financial records, i.e. Purchase orders, Direct Pay, Food and Entertainment, Budget Transfers, etc. In an efficient manner within established quarterly deadlines. Adhere to Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) for all students.

Position Specific:

Ability to work independently, to set priorities, and to take action without supervisory intervention when needed.
Knowledge and experience working with student leadership organizations, program delivery and policy development, faculty and staff in various disciplines, and implementation of health promotion and education programs. Ability to represent TTUHSC El Paso in public forums and communicate effectively at all levels orally and in writing. Ability to relate to students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds is essential. A thorough understanding of Student Services and Student Affairs fees/accounts, budgeting, appropriations and reallocation of expenses is essential. Knowledge of standard office software (Microsoft Office applications), and institutional academic policies is important. Ability to work weekends and late hours on a non-routine basis.

Preferred Qualifications
Maters Degree in higher education , student affairs or wellness/health promotion.  Experience in health related institutions or health related fields.  Experience working with adult and non-traditional students.  Experience in working with a diverse population or students.

Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.

Occasional Duties
Assists Director in preparing annual budgets for Student Services. Maintains and reconciles expenditures and balances on all accounts. Prepares, reviews, and helps manage Student Services and SGA (Student Government Association) budget, appropriations and expenditures. Complies and submits reports as required by management, state, local, and federal regulatory agencies. Administers student elections and class meetings for student government, student senate and all student organizations. Administers Student Travel Card and prepares travel vouchers for all students including those hosted by TTUHSC EP, and reconciles all transactions for SS administrative personnel.  Assist in planning, executing and participating (presenting) at all new student orientations and class meetings regarding Student Affairs and Wellness to include schedule, program, content and presenters.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus four years progressively responsible related experience; OR a combination of education and experience to equal eight years.
