Position Description
Performs advanced, specialized work to assist in the organization and implementation of various projects and programs. Work is performed under minimal supervision within established policies with latitude for independent judgment. Works on special projects as assigned. May substitute for supervisor during his/her absence.

Major/Essential Functions
Initiates enrollment for Medicare and Medicaid. Initiates enrollment for MCO's. Responds to miscellaneous requests from providers, administrators and or other facilities. Maintains and updates credentialing expirables and performs PSV. Processes recredentialing to the MCOs. Manage and maintain status of all enrollment applications to include but not limited to submission date, contact date, follow up date, etc. Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Cactus Credentialing Software. Knowledge of The Joint Commission's Standards as they relate to Credentialing and Privileging. Knowledge of NCQA standards as it relates to credentialing and health plan enrollment. Knowledge of medical terminology as it relates to specific privileges. CPCS certification preferred.
