Major/Essential Functions
  • Provides inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical consultation at El Paso Children Hospital, University Medical Center of El Paso and Texas Tech Physicians of El Paso Neurology Outpatient Clinic
  • Supervises residents in clinical setting
  • Participates in teaching and training of residents and medical students, including presentation of lectures
  • Participates in academic research and scholarly activities
  • Participates in committees and other administrative duties as assigned
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's declaration of Faculty Professional responsibility

Required Qualifications
  • M.D. /D.O.
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in neurological surgery
  • Successful completion of pediatric neurosurgery fellowship program in the United States
  • A full unrestricted Texas medical license or eligibility for medical licensure in Texas
