Major/Essential Functions
Provides speechl therapy under the Department of Neurology Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) multidisciplinary outpatient clinic to delivery quality care to ALS patients and families.
-Assessment of patients' ability to speak, swallow and communicate. Also, assessment of patients communication capabilities specifically as it relates to the acquisition or use of an Augmented Communication Device will be completed as needed.
-Assess & record patients' activities and progress for patient evaluations, billing and reporting to Clinic Medical Director.
-Educate a patient's family on how to accommodate and care for patient.
-Works in conjunction with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient needs are met.

Required Qualifications
Required: Current license as required by the State of Texas (TLDR/Texas Board for Speech Language Therapy Examiners)  and current CPR. Knowledge of Speech-Language Pathology principles and procedures.   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
