Supports the department by performing administrative duties related to planning and coordinating programming in support of academic enrichment of the department, institution and community.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Manages the Medical School Program Evaluation process from creating evaluations from templates, building student panels for evaluation distribution, issuing all course and faculty evaluations to students, issuing reminders on a timely basis, to closing evaluations as scheduled and as per policy.  This work requires the employee be absolutely certain of current student, faculty and resident rosters. 
  • Manages student course and faculty evaluation data backup retrieval and storage in designated databank.  Ensures copies of all collected student data are correctly catalogued and saved in appropriate drive and files. 
  • Monitors student compliance of evaluation requirements for course and faculty and manages the professionalism assessment process.  Determines student non-compliance at closing of evaluations, creates and assigns student professionalism assessments to the Associate Dean of Education and completes them by proxy. 
  • Follows office guidelines and templates in the creation of course and faculty evaluation reports.  Informs immediate supervisor of any outstanding learning environment issues reported by students.  Verifies and validates data accuracy in all reports before issuing to stakeholders.  Makes sure all reports are sent out to the correct person by established deadline according to policy. 
  • Assists in the performance of thematic analysis of teaching and course evaluations under the guidance of direct supervisor. 
  • Serves as liaison between the Office of Assessment & Evaluation and course directors, faculty, students, and staff.  
  • Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: formatting data, running reports, organizing meetings, keeping minutes, building and distributing meeting agendas, etc.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of basic statistics. 
  • Familiarity with statistical packages (e.g. SPSS or SAS). 
  • Experience working with data reporting and visualization software such as Qualtrics, Tableau, SharePoint, NVivo, and basic understanding of the Banner System (may have been acquired as a student).

  • Generates other reports as assigned. 
  • Under direct supervision and guidance, helps the immediate supervisor construct the Annual Medical Education Program Evaluation Report.

  • High school plus six years experience in related field.
