Position Description
Supports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Serves as a key participant with senior leadership and faculty in the implementation of the medical school curriculum.
  • In cooperation with the senior leadership, create course calendar, oversee posting of course calendar, monitor calendar and timelines for the Learning Management System and Canvas.
  • Serve as liaison between the Department of Medical Education and course directors and faculty and also with staff supporting Learning Management System in the IT department.
  • Managing all entries to the Learning Management System and assuring that entries are current, accurate, and consistent with agreed upon format and styles. Entries include but are not limited to: course calendar/schedule, room assignments, Power Point presentations, reading assignments, course objectives, video files and web links etc.
  • Scheduling of rooms appropriate for scheduled educational activities (e.g., lecture halls, small group rooms, labs, etc.) as requested by faculty.
  • As requested generate reports documenting curriculum implementation, examination results (aggregate and individual), and evaluation results.
  • Track Medical Skills Inventory
  • Responsible for obtaining final semester grades and enter them onto Banner by established deadlines. Employee will be expected to follow FERPA and HIPAA standards of confidentiality.
  • Participate in exam proctoring as a regular member of the ‘proctor pool’ as assigned.
  • Validate and/ or create Pre- Clerkship courses during roll-over period within Banner system for upcoming school year.
  • Other duties as assigned including front desk coverage as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Word, Power Point, Excel and Learning Management System.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, and strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member and to cross-train with other course support program coordinators.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Canvas software (may be obtained as student) and Banner.

Pay Statement
