Position Description
Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

Major/Essential Functions
Obtain necessary parent/patient consent. Manage collection of body fluids and tissue samples from select patients or subjects receiving care in the community (i.e City's fixed site Dental Clinic or Mobile RCL Laboratory, physician's office). Manage labeling, preparation, and storage of body fluids and tissue specimens for biorepository. Oversee daily operations of biorepository including QA/QI/QC and HIPAA/CLIA protocols. Manage program staff, files, develop and implement project timelines and ensure  deadlines are met. Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in obtaining and processing tissue and body fluids for histology and genomics. Formal clinical laboratory training preferred. Certified Clinical Research Coordinator preferred. Experience in coordinating clinical trials and managing processes for clinical studies.

Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.

Occasional Duties
Prepare and submit program reports and assessments. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, protocols and data collection instruments for the project. Manage submission of all study documents via iRIS system.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects.  Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year -for- year basis.
