Major/Essential Functions
Serves as primary contact and processes all incoming and outgoing Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs). Draft MTA processes and procedures and keep MTA route sheet updated. Create folders, file all documents related to MTAs, NDAs/CDAs, CTAs, and DUAs in Xtender or on the shared drive. Ensure required institution, federal, and state approvals have been received and are current when processing MTAs, NDAs/CDAs, CTAs, and DUAs. Review New Fund (NF) requests for research purposes. Review and approve New Fund (NF) requests for all CTAs. Review and approve Budget Revision (BR) requests for all CTAs.

Preferred Qualifications
Two or more years of contracting experience or knowledge of contract law, research trends in academic health centers and federal and state regulatory guidelines. Experience reviewing and creating budgets for externally funded projects. Ability to communicate with external sponsors.

Occasional Duties
  • Responsible for searching the ASC contracting system, Xtender, tracking logs and all OSP files for MTAs, NDAs/CDAs, CTAs, and DUAs listing separating PIs as a lead PI or co-investigator. Serves as secondary contact for all Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)/Confidentiality Agreements (CDAs), Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) and Data User Agreements (DUAs).
  • Responsible for the closeout of all completed CTAs.
  • Responsible for researching and reviewing all expiring contracts found in the ASC contracting system. Review all budgets and prepare the TTUHSC EP budget template for all CTAs. Prepare and distribute startup invoices all CTAs.
  • Responsible for reviewing and correcting Fact Book data for all CTAs in order to ensure all Fact Book data is correct before published in the TTUHSC EP Fact Book.
  • Other duties as assigned.
