Major/Essential Functions
  • Develops and maintains rigorous research programs in population health
  • Contributes to the University's missions through research, teaching and service
  • Teaches and mentors students, fellows, and other trainees
  • Participates in department activities
  • Engages in population health research activities within the state of Texas and nationally
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

  • Scientific expertise and interest in one or more of the following areas of population health research:  epidemiology, population genetics, cancer prevention and control, chronic disease management, health services, health disparities, behavioral sciences, or implementation and dissemination research

Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D., M.D., M.D.-Ph.D., or equivalent degree
  • Record of accomplishment in population health research
  • Two (2) years post-doctoral training or equivalent experience in population health
