Manages and directs the day to day operations of a research center/institute or medium sized department. Plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of the center/institute/department. Develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities.

Marketing and Creative Services Team Leadership: Leads and supervises creative team to ensure a highly collaborative environment where productivity is maximized and specific goals, budgets, priorities and quality standards are met; works closely with Marketing and Communications managing director and Vice President of Institutional Advancement.
Identity, Creative and Marketing Strategy: Develops comprehensive strategies to increase TTUHSC El Paso and TTP El Paso brand visibility and enhance the image of both entities; develops and manages brand standards/guidelines; develops visual identity positioning and strategy; analyses, evaluates and directs visual/written content of creative materials/messaging.
Campaign Development and Support: Oversees and consults on marketing and advertising campaigns; develops creative briefs for all campaigns and major projects; oversees creative team; reviews draft layout and suggest final improvements as needed; reviews final layout and suggests improvements as needed; manages advertising schedules and placement and campaign budgets for TTUHSC El Paso and TTP El Paso in coordination with schools and departments.
Project Management: Works directly with project manager; supports client communications, conflict management, job prioritization and quality improvement; maintains integrity of TTUHSC El Paso and TTP El Paso images; oversees accurate usage of TTUHSC El Paso and TTP El Paso brands, including logos, acronyms, and verbiage on printed and promotional materials; keeps projects on track with clearly defined priorities, expectations and timelines.
Design Management: Supervises designers and supports planning, prioritization and quality improvement. Social Media Management: Supervises social media editor and supports planning, prioritization and quality improvement.
Photo and Video Management: Supervises photographer and videographer and supports planning, prioritization and projects. Vendor and Contract Management: Reviews requests for contract or outsourced work; obtains bids and acts as liaison with vendors to ensure adherence to brand and quality standards; reviews and manages creative contracts and renewals.
Media Placement: Works with media buyer and purchasing department to obtain and evaluate media proposals, secure media purchases and evaluate media performance; coordinates media schedules.
Prior experience with academic creative and marketing services. Supervisor of at least five subordinates for six or more years. Experience with a six month or longer marketing campaign, including strategy, development and management. Prior brand strategy and management experience. Social media strategy experience.
