Position Description
A student enrolled in an institution of higher education other than Texas Tech University or Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center employed to perform work as assigned by the supervisor.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Maneuver carts through shelves and locations in order to gather, transport, and reshelf library materials on shelves ranging from 0 to 7 feet high.
  • Check library materials in and out during shift.
  • Prepare material lists for librarians and supervisors.
  • Maintain printers by stocking with paper, adding toner, and clearing paper jams.
  • Answer the phone and respond to inquiries.
  • Process new materials by stamping, affixing call numbers, writing information on the title page in pencil, securing security strips, and inspecting item for any defects.
  • Complete any special projects assigned to and given by student assistant manager.
  • Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.
  • Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
