Position Description
A student enrolled in at least six hours in an institution of higher education other than TTU, employed to perform work as assigned by supervisor

Major/Essential Functions
  • Maneuver cart through shelves to gather, internally circulate, and reshelve library materials on shelves ranging from 0 to 7 feet high
  • Check library materials in and out during shift
  • Assist library patrons by answering questions, providing directions or assisting with the library’s computer system
  • Maintain printers by stocking with paper, adding toner, and clearing paper jams
  • Answer the phone and respond to inquiries
  • Complete any special projects assigned to and given by student manager

Occasional Duties
  • Assist in making 3D prints and processing requests
  • Prepare lists of weeded materials
  • Process new materials by stamping, affixing book plates, affixing call numbers using a hot plate, writing information on the title page in pencil, securing security strips, and inspecting item for any defects
